Jonathan H. Matthews
MANAGING MEMBER
Jonathan Matthews has extensive litigation, arbitration, and counseling experience involving a wide range commercial disputes, including matters arising from breach of contract, fraud, trade secret appropriation, breach of fiduciary duty, professional negligence and products liability, among other areas. Mr. Matthews has represented local and national clients in state and federal actions through all phases of court proceedings, discovery, pre-trial motions and trial.
Mr. Matthews has substantial experience in corporate formation, contract formation, corporate reorganization/acquisition, succession planning and 8(a) Business Development Program qualification and compliance. Mr. Matthews’ clients include technology companies, real estate developers, hospitals, start-up companies, other law firms, private companies, entrepreneurs and investors.
During law school, Mr. Matthews was a member of the Pepperdine Journal of Business, Entrepreneurship and the Law, served as Chairman of the school’s Appellate Advocacy Team, was admitted to the Order of Barristers, and served as a judicial extern for Judge Ricardo M. Urbina in the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia. Prior to law school, Mr. Matthews worked at the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency in Washington, D.C., where he executed the United States’ environmental policies and initiatives.
